This must be the most annoying, yet hilarious ad ever. I felt the urge to post it here.

Enjoy. :)

Dilbert – Hedonism

March 22nd, 2009 by Lachy

I have recently developed a love of Dilbert, the comic series created by Scott Adams. I had encountered it before, in Philosophy in year 9 and 10. There was an awesome series about humans and their hedonistic ways. I actually forgot that Dilbert was centered around business and information technology issues. Now that I’m more of a computer nerd than ever before, its more hilarious than I ever imagined. We’ve got some of them in our Software Design textbooks, so they’re always fun to read. :)
You’ll find me posting them from time to time, so here goes the first few, about hedonism. :)

Chekd Surf and Snow – Confusion

January 24th, 2009 by Lachy

Last year, in Year 11, we were required to make a website or poster for a fake company, Chekd Surf and Snow, for an assignment. I made this awesome website. http://juize.shadowthief.com/IPT/

Now I thought this website was quite good. For me it marked a good achievement my learning PHP. Today though, I received an amusing email and replied to it. (click for full size image)

Lol, skis.

Now I found that pretty hilarious. :P Somebody found my site by chance, probably using google (even though I didn’t do any SEO coding for it), and thought it was a real site! Though if you look around the site at all, you’ll realise that it of course isn’t a serious company. Just look at the URL, and some of the product descriptions. :P

They also musn’thave looked at the about page as well, as they appear to be located in America, judging by their email address at comcast.net. If they had looked there at all, they would have found “We are located in Cofss Harbour on the Mid North Coast. They probably haven;t even heard of Coffs Harbour though, so I guess it’s understandable. :P

Anyway, in order to prevent future orders form people who come across my site before I get the chacne to take it down, I’ve added a notice on the main page.

Note: This is not a real company. This website was created as part of a school assignment.

Well there you have it. My hilarious email from this morning. :P

Until next time, enjoy yourselves. :)
