Has anyone else tried the Personas plugin for FireFox yet? It’s basically a light-weight theme switcher in Firefox, that allows you to easily switch between themes and acquire new ones in a second. I really like this, it’s much faster and easier on the eyes than those bulky themes you have to download and install individually.
You can get it here: http://www.getpersonas.com/
The other goo dhting is when you’re browsing through the list of personas in the Tools menu, your browser automatically previews the highlighted persona.
The same thing applies while viewing the site’s gallery too.
Anyway, if I’m going to go on raving about how good this plugin is, how could I not show a screenshot of it in use? Here it is: (You can’t go wrong with Hitsugaya.

If you’ve been using FireFox 3 for a while, I’m sure you’ve noticed the zoom feature, which supports full page zooming of both text and images.
Now, one thing I’ve noticed about this for quite some time, is that if you zoom in and out of a page repeatedly, the images on the page tend to go really blurry, even when you return to what appears to be the normal zoom level. I’ve had this problem for quite a while and I’ve been looking for a fix. Now I’ve found the solution, and I’m going to share it with you all, just in case you have a similar problem.
Disabling Sticky Zoom in FireFox 3
What Sticky Zoom does, is remember your preferences of the zoom level of each page you visit. This can be useful if you want to visit pages that are hard to see, and want to avoid having to re-zoom in every time you visit, or when images are too small. But, to me this seems like more of an annoying feature, and not just because it made my images messed up.
So, here’s how you disable it.
- Open the FireFox config page – Type about:config into the address bar.
- Search/filter for zoom
- Find the entry called browser.zoom.siteSpecific. You’ll find that this option has a default value of True.
- Double click on the entry to change it to the False value.
- To make the effects visible, close all tabs and re-open your sites.
All of the tabs and windows you open in FireFox 3 should now reset to their base zoom level. Hope this helps.
